General Information
There are two forms of doctoral training:
- Full-time (state-funded with scholarship or self-financed), and
- Part-time / Correspondence (self-financed, alongside full-time employment).
Applications for the Doctoral School programs must be submitted via the online application platform.
Information about the available doctoral programs and admission opportunities is published in the university’s official announcements, as well as in calls for applications posted at partner institutions and in newspaper advertisements.
The admission interview is conducted before an examination committee, and applicants will be notified of the date and time of their interview.
The application fee for the PhD program is 9,000 HUF.
Admission Requirements and Conditions
- A Master’s degree (MSc) in natural sciences, engineering, or medical sciences (or a university diploma obtained before the Bologna process).
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (applicable to degrees obtained in Hungary from 2001 onwards).
- Applicants must take part in an oral admission interview.
